DIRECTIONS: For best results, apply to a clean, cool surface in the shade. To clean, use All Surface Cleaner or wash with a oil-fighting dishwashing detergent like Dawn to remove all contaminants and oils. Protect surrounding paint work using easily removable masking tape (blue painter's tape). This will make clean up easier and faster. Wear gloves and eye protection. Shake bottle well and apply a small amount to applicator pad or microfiber sponge. Spread a thin coat over area in an even motion, covering area completely. Allow solution to penetrate for 1-2 minutes. Use a clean microfiber sponge or foam pad to buff off excess and wipe off glass and paint (will stain unsealed paint). Admire the results! Top with ARMOR and extend the life of the restoration! Helpful Hints and Recommendations: Use with adequate ventilation. Trim Renew will stain clothing and skin. Do not use on painted or glass surfaces; wipe off immediately with a clean applicator pad, terry cloth or microfiber towel if solution gets on these areas. Do not add water or solvents. For best results, sand & thoroughly degrease & dry all surfaces that will be coated. Mask areas to prevent overspray, remove tape before coating dries. Apply in minimum of 55°F & relative humidity above 20%. Use eye, skin, & respiratory protection with adequate ventilation, may stain clothing. DO NOT FREEZE - if in an area where it gets below freezing, please store in a temperature controlled location. Clean Up: Wet Coating - clean up with water & towels. Dry coating - may be mechanically removed/scraped. Spray Application: Do not apply in direct sunlight. Use Speciality Sprayer available at Rugged Restore (this page). Air Requirements: Working pressure: 40-60 psi (max 140 psi). Approximate air consumption: 5-8 CFM. *note - this is the ideal, we have had customers use much lower CFM compressors successfully, even the popular pancake compressors. Ensure air supply is clean & free of moisture and oil. Screw Sprayer directly into Barricade Sprayable Bedliner bottle. Using a scrap piece of cardboard or wood, adjust sprayer pressure (30-90psi) & nozzle to achieve desired pattern & thickness. Spray on vertical surfaces first, then on horizontal surfaces. Apply full coat on all surfaces. Product will appear gray when wet, & will change to black as it dries. Additional coats may be applied after drying for additional thickness or area repair.  Additional coats may cause the area to appear more gloss than a single coat. Roll On/Brush On Application: Do not apply in direct sunlight. Use thick nap or foam roller or quality paint brush. Place coating into suitable container for roller or brush access. Apply to vertical surfaces first, then to horizontal surfaces. Apply full coat on all surfaces. Product will appear gray when wet, & will change to black as it dries. Additional coats may be applied after drying for additional thickness or area repair. Additional coats may cause the area to appear more gloss than a single coat. Other Notes: Dries in 1 hour at 75°F and 40% humidity. Cooler temperatures will require more time. minimum temperature is 55°F. Do not allow water to sit on coating for at least 1 week. Thoroughly clean Sprayer and other tools with water immediately after use. *Sprayer comes with 1/4″ NPT air connector threading, you will need to supply the correct fitting to connect to your air hose. Photo Note - the suspension and fender on this Jeep were coated prior to 6 days in Moab, and 1400 miles on a trailer through mud, ice, and snow. As you can see, the springs, steering, shocks, and under side of the fenders are clean.  Installation Information: In addition to this kit you will need at least two but ideally four high quality microfiber towels Ensure that your vehicle is out of direct sunlight but warmer than 41 degrees F, is completely dry and will stay dry for at least 12 hours after application If needed, polish your paintwork either by machine or by hand to remove any imperfections Thoroughly clean and dry all surfaces to be coated, with a final wipe down with All Surface Cleaner Put on the nitrile gloves provided Drop several (between 5 and 10) drops of product onto the applicator provided. Work the liquid into the pad to get an even saturation Paint/Vinyl Wraps: Apply with applicator provided in overlapping strokes to an area roughly 2’ x 2’, or work to the body lines of the vehicle If the surface of the vehicle is between 41 and 60 degrees F, wait for two minutes and then fold your first towel twice to form a square, spread and remove most of the residue using a light touch. If the surface is between 60 and 77 wait for one minute and for temperatures above this, remove immediately With your second folded cloth remove all remaining residues. We advise to move your head so that you get direct and oblique views of your finish to spot all residue. It is also advisable to use bright, but flat lighting, to make residue spotting easier Once you have finished coating your vehicle we recommend repeating the process starting from the same place as you did for the first layer and coating panels in the same order so that you coat your entire vehicle with two layers of ARMOR. You do not need to wait between applying the first and second coating but it will not make it harder to apply the second coating if you do leave a much longer interval between applying the first and second layer Allow the coating to cure for at least 12 hours before getting wet We recommend allowing at least one week pass before washing your rig Suspension/Bumpers/Other Parts: In addition to the instructions above, you may use the following installation options on these parts: Apply to most bumpers as you would paint, some very rough bumpers may leave microfiber residue/fibers, so you may wish to wipe on and let dry without removing excess. For suspension, a wipe on/leave on technique works well, no need to remove the excess product. ARMOR can be poured into a small atomizing spray bottle for easier application, simply spray and leave on suspension parts. Note - this will use more product. For maintaining your finish we recommend hand washing your vehicle using a Wash Shampoo.  Use REPEL sealant every few washes for even better protection, clean-ability, and longevity of ARMOR You will find that your vehicle is significantly easier to clean and while ARMOR has significantly better resistance to caustic wash chemicals these chemicals will shorten the lifespan of any coating and are not recommended as part of your care routine An unopened bottle of ARMOR has a 12-18 month shelf life from the time of purchase Store opened bottles in a dry and cool storage area that's out of direct sunlight We recommend using opened bottles within three months of opening

Two thin coats may be applied instead of a single thick one. Wait 1 hour between coats. Clean up wet coating with water & towels; dry coating may be mechanically removed/scraped. Some surfaces may be damaged (plywood/osb) when attempting dry coating removal. Product cures in 3 stages: Dries to the touch in 90 minutes at 75°F and 40% humidity. Fully cured in 24 hours at 75°F and 40% humidity. Cooler temps (do not go below 60°) and higher humidity will require more time. Fully cross linked (final cure) in 7-12 days. Allow coating to fully cure before getting wet or exposing to temps below 60°. Coating may be painted after fully cured, but fully cross linked is desirable for best results. Do not expose coating to heavy duty use until fully cross linked. Thoroughly clean application tools and other areas prior to drying to touch, remove tape if used. If that's not possible, use a more generous amount of Glass Cleaner, and multiple towels to avoid re-applying dirt from the towel onto the surface, which could scratch it. The best way to avoid any streaks, is to alternate the direction in which you wipe. For interior windows, wipe in a horizontal direction; for exterior windows, wipe in a vertical direction.
